There is something about my baby planners. I love seeing them as a tiny squishy newborn and at the end of their first year as a one year old toddler. There is also something about Fall. The breathtaking colors, the leaves scattered around, the smell in the air. Put these two together and you’ve got magic! Baby (or Big Boy, now!) A is turning ONE on Thursday. To celebrate, we captured some photos of him exploring and showing off his standing skills. You may remember him from this family session in Hermitage or from this gorgeous backlit photograph this past summer.

I was also able to bring out my antique high chair for some shots. Look how well the colors pop together. The wood and the bright colored leaves draw me in!
What would a first birthday be without some balloons? Luckily we had some amazingly warm-ish fall weather and was able to do a cake smash session in the woods.
We joked around afterwards that A is one lucky one year old to be able to eat cake and play with balloons half naked in the woods. 
Happy First Birthday, A! I look forward to watching you grow over the years.

Sunday it was hot. Like, beginning of summer hot, not second day of spring hot. I couldn’t have asked for better weather, though, for our Spring Mini Sessions with bunnies! We made sure to snap pictures of every child with and without the bunnies and then some got lucky and got to play around with some Easter eggs. Here is the last edition of our bunnies for 2011!

Spring is in the air and I love it! The smell of fresh cut grass, the colors popping up every where, and bare feet let me know it’s that time of year again. Michelle and I have known each other for years, back when we were single girls (well, engaged technically) planning our weddings. I had the pleasure of taking Lauren’s newborn photographs and it’s hard to believe how much she’s grown. Rachel is now in Kindergarten and is such a beautiful, well mannered young lady.
Thank you, again, for coming back to have your spring portraits taken. I love repeat clients!

This weekend I had the pleasure of traveling to Hermitage to the perfect outdoor location at my client’s home. The weather was gorgeous and it was nice and warm with a cool breeze. I could smell Spring in the air.
This is the first of a series of shoots to show the baby’s milestones. I present to you his “I can push myself up!” shoot! I know his parents are biting their nails waiting for this sneak peek so here you go! See you soon for his next milestone photo shoot of him sitting!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Heidi Foreste, better known as Mrs. F to her online followers. Heidi manages a popular blog that is dedicated to being a stay at home mom and also the home to some fabulous giveaways!
I met Heidi and Hubbs (as he’s affectionately known as online) and their beautiful offspring Gianna on the campus of Vanderbilt University, where Hubbs is in Law School. We had a great time playing around and snapping some gorgeous photos of this stunning family. Doesn’t this family look like they stepped straight out of a Gap ad?
This family just oozes with love for each other. The adoration these two parents show Gianna is enough to melt even the hardest heart!

I look forward to sessions with Mr. O every few months. He is one of my baby planners and has totally won my heart. Those big eyes, sweet cheeks, and adorable looks are going to have the girls knocking down his door once he hits school age. Watch out Mom and Dad! Thank you for bearing the rain and cold weather. You all are troopers. Enjoy your sneak peek and I’ll see you in February when Mr. O turns the big O-N-E! Eek. I’ll try to whisper that next time so Mom doesn’t freak. I know she just grimaced a little reading that! Am I right?

Avery was a wonderful newborn. With her beautiful head full of hair and siblings in tow, she was so calm from the get go. I admire her parents, too. They are the proud parents of 6 children ages 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, and now a newborn. How’s that for a house full? I’m always so amazed at how such large families have the best behaved children. The K Family was no different. Now, onto the baby lust.
