Since my last post was about resolutions, I decided to post about another one. 2011 is proving to be a big year already. I want to document my family every month… in our element. No “dress up and get pretty” pictures. This is raw. This is real. This is my life. Every month in 2011, I will be taking a “Real” photo of my family. It will involve all 4 of us and usually my wireless remote and tripod to make sure we are all in the picture at once. At the end of the year, I’d like to put each of these photos in an album and keep the tradition going. I think it sounds like fun!
So, for January 2011, we give you our snow picture. Everyone that knows me well, knows I despise cold weather. I despise snow. I hate being bundled up and all the time it takes to get ready and then go freeze. Sometimes I wonder if I am really my dad’s daughter because he is up at all hours of the night with a flashlight to see the first falling snowflakes of every snow.
It makes him giddy. Me? It makes me want to stay in my PJs, cuddled under a blanket by the fire, and drinking hot cider.
Here you go. Us.

Since I’m on a roll with posting my own personal photos (I’m the bad photographer that rarely uploads photos of my own family, another resolution), here are two more for good measure. My wonderful husband and his two “daddy’s girls” and the face behind the blog (me) with the girls.

While I’m thinking about it, notice my new gloves courtesy of my wonderful mother. She knew I was looking for some fingerless gloves for those cold winter shoots and found me a pair. Love them!

Now, I want to challenge each and every one of you to take a photo of yourself and your family (or your dog, or whatever you live with) every month. Make it a habit. Maybe if I’m in a good mood in December, I’ll post a template for an album to put your 2011 pictures in. You may want to remind me, though!
