When my husband and I were dating, the term "Real Promise" was created. It was our personal way of making sure the other person knew what had been said was honest and true. My Real Promise to you is that, as your photographer, I will capture moments in time that you will cherish forever. We will laugh, dance, and have a great ol' time... whatever it takes to get some killer portraits you will want to stare at forever.

Sure, it’s easy and the pictures are decent but what if you want your photos to be amazing? Are you nodding? If so, this is the workshop for you!
Join me for a half-day beginner’s workshop where you will learn how to use all those buttons and finally get your camera off the dreaded green box of Auto.
What we’ll discuss:
· Getting to know your camera
· Exploring the functions of your camera
· Histograms
· Manual mode and metering
· Composition of people and children
· Flash
· Getting light into the eyes
What does the workshop cost include?
· 4 hours of instruction
· Hands-on learning time
· Lunch (9-1pm) or heavy snacks (1-5pm)
· Awesome custom workbook that will fit in your bag to take with you

What this workshop isn’t:
· A business workshop. We will not be discussing the business side of photography since this is a course designed to teach you how to take better personal pictures.
· Learning to shoot in studio situations (with backdrops, lighting, etc)

· Must have a DSLR camera (camera with interchangeable lenses) – any brand is fine, although I shoot Canon.

Senior and Teen Photographer in Hendersonville TN
I’ve recently had a few people ask me how I got into photography. It’s not really a long story but in short, I have always loved the way a camera felt in my hands. In college, I was a nanny in Raleigh, NC. The family I nannied for was a wonderful family that I will forever be indebted to because of all the love and support they showed me. They gave me a Canon 35mm film camera and I took so many pictures of Baby B (he was just a few months old when I first started working for them). He was the cutest subject and I remember loving the way he looked through that lens.
After I had my first daughter, I knew I was ready to take the plunge into something bigger and better. Thus, my journey began. I am 100% self-taught and luckily, I’m a night owl and equally as lucky, I love to read… and I spent a bunch of time reading.
Well, I have to give a lot of my credit to the wonderful ladies over at Clickinmoms.com. Clickinmoms started in March 2008 and I joined shortly thereafter. What started as a small photographers’ forum has blossomed into over 8000 members in just a few short years. From beginners to pros, you can find any and all in between. If you are a photographer enthusiast, I highly encourage you to join this wonderful site.
It’s really hard to believe that it’s 2011 but I am super excited to see what it has in store for me personally and professionally. 2010 was a year of up and downs and one of the biggest/life altering changes was moving to a totally different state. I’ve been a North Carolinian since birth and when we found out we were moving to Tennessee, it took a lot of prayer before I knew it was the right choice. Now, I am 100% convinced it was the right choice. Giving up my stable day job that I had known for so many years, saying good-bye to a classroom full of smiling children, and making the leap of faith into launching my photography business full time was a hard decision but I am on Cloud 9 these days.
I can’t wait to experience what 2011 holds for me. This year will be a great one, I know it. First of all, I will be launching my Senior site. It will be dedicated to Teens and Seniors and will offer them an amazing experience for their portraits with a different flavor. I have prayed hard about this and talked everyone’s ears off about this adventure because I cannot contain my excitement. My new site will be launching within the next couple of weeks but for now, I am offering a special just for those Class of 2011 Seniors that are in their last semester of high school!
